Jackie Sharpe began doing pilates to recover from surgery and to lose weight after the birth of her daughter. Quickly, she began to reap other benefits from her practice, noticing an improvement to her posture and a gradual elimination of chronic pains suffered from sports related injuries. She eventually fell in love with the way that pilates improved her quality of life physically and mentally. The mind-body connection continues to inspire Jackie's work outs in her own practice and as an instructor, searching to deepen that connection within herself and her students. Jackie studied the Pilates Process Method to become a certified mat and reformer instructor, but continues to relish the opportunity to learn and grow from the classes and instruction of others always looking for the moments in which something new is awakened within.
