Amanda is passionate about sharing her love of movement with every BODY. A professional dancer, choreographer and teacher in Toronto for the last ten years, the practice of moving and moving others is deeply ingrained in her daily experience. A self professed ‘body nerd’, Amanda is constantly invested in learning about the body in motion; in all of its subtleties, complexities and beauty. She is a graduate of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and the Canadian College of Performing Arts and has traveled across Canada, the United States and Europe, training with international artists and choreographers in contemporary dance. Her teaching practice is a deeply rewarding aspect of her art practice and she has taught professional, pre-professional students and dance enthusiasts of all levels in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montréal.
Amanda recently completed the MISFITMETHOD teacher training with Amber Joliat, Robyn Breen and Natalie V. Flood and will attend FUSION training in June. Her teaching experience is multifaceted; as a long time yoga student with a background as a personal trainer as well as teaching group bootcamp fitness classes for several years. An advocate for the transformational possibilities of a movement practice, lover of moving to music and deep connections in the body, her classes are playful, with fluid, thoughtful sequencing and plenty of fire.
